This Wednesday, I had the honor of watching my niece (Abby) and nephew (Jake) graduate from high school. The sun was bright, the humidity was high, and I forgot how *comfortable* metal bleachers can be.
As is customary, the speeches from the students, faculty and guests were ones of memories and advice... at one point, I looked over at my wife and realized that we are 20 years removed from our high school graduation. Yikes!
My mind went to Brad Paisley's song - "letter to me". If you could go back in time - in my case 20 years - what advice would you share with your younger self at your high school graduation?
For me, it would be to embrace uncertainty and take the first step. Whenever you get nervous, feel overwhelmed, or struggle with risk - simply take the first step. Don't try to figure it all out, simply take the first step. Because once you get started... nothing can stop you.
So, what advice would you go back and give your younger self? Please post below to share with all who follow.
Also, Happy Father's Day to all of the great dads, heroes, and mentors!
